Easy File Protector is an access restriction tool for Windows. With it, you can limit access to certain files or folders. Easy File Protector can be configured so that it asks for a password when you try to open it, so, effectively, when you use this tool, you are password-protecting your files.
Easy File Protector allows you to limit access to files by user account and it also provides you with the ability of limiting access by a timetable. When you first launch the application, you will notice that the active timetable says "00:00 to 24:00" which in other words means: all the time. So, if you add a file to the interface and apply the changes, no one will be able to access it. You can uncheck this timetable and add one of your own. Actually, you can add as many as you want.
To test this feature, I added a custom timetable to limit access to the file that I had added for a few minutes. This way, I could test if the file was accessible both when I set the timetable and after it expired. For the duration of the timetable, I couldn't access the file. All I got was an error. But after the timetable expired, the access was restored. In short, the application does what it advertises. It is easy to use and has a nice user interface.
- Timetable restrictions work well
